2 hand sound exchange encompasses the catalog of creative projects by Andre Yanef, based out of Chicago, Illinois.

The moniker is born from the common denominator of my creative works: exchanging music with my 2 hands. Broken down to 3 sections, Drums, DJ, and Collection. the philosophy for all is below:

Drums - Being a drummer for 15+ years, I put a tight rhythm on almost any genre. Leaning towards indie rock, folk, deep soul/jazz, and blues, I have the same motive for every track; keep a creative yet simple pulse while having fun.

DJ - All vinyl, all the time. Period. From having a constant cadence buzzing between my ears, the most important thing I believe is the groove. There’s no genre snootiness, from the most obscure to the hits that your grandparents know, if it knocks, it rocks. 100% always curated song selections for the room.

Collection - I’m a drum nerd, there I said it. I pay attention to details and talk shop that make other drummers and collector’s blush. Over the years of chasing the right sound, acquiring a number of pieces, fixing some of those pieces, and then selling some of said pieces, I accidently became a collector/private dealer, selling great gear all over the world (thanks internet!). Hunting all over the Midwest for that next great piece of gear, I have the mindset of quality over quantity, ultimately making a fine curated selection of “no junk”. Fellow drum nerd? Buying? Selling? I always have my ear open.
